On turned mahogany legs with original brass castors, this chair is beautifully upholstered in buttoned and brass nailed leather and has its original adjustable reading stand which slots into either arm by means of a brass ferrule. In very good condition and very comfortable. 970mm high, 800mm wide and 1010mm deep. Circa 1870. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
