Art Deco RARE Powder Box By Fasold & Stuach
Dating to the 1930's this very attractive and rare Art Deco trinket box is made by FASOLD & STAUCH more commonly known for making half dolls and is a German company. Rare and in excellent condition, I couldn't find any flaws to note, she's free from any damage. The pot is marked to the base with the impressed numerals 9102 and stands 21 cm in height and the base measures 9 cm square.
The lid of the box has a standing flapper lady fashionably dressed in the fashion of the day in deep blue coat with fur trim and and pulled back collar. She has matching purple cloche hat and purple heeled court shoes on her dainty feet. At her side is her seated dog, an Afghan hound. The base is white porcelain with gilt trim. The attention to detail is just wonderful, so skillfully painted, from her slightly blushed cheeks to her tiny fingers, everything about this piece screams quality and at every angle she looks amazing.
This very rare Art Deco powder Jar is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing, only wear to the gilt outlines on the lid rim and base. This is a very rare and highly collectable 1920's dresser pot that would make an excellent addition to any good art deco porcelain or figural powder pot collection.
