Rare 19thC Ebonised Silver Chest with Wax Seals Coffor coffer box %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A rare and intriguing 19thC Silver Chest. Both Incredibly decorative and practical this gorgeous piece retains a large number of wax seals - some stamped and signed with pen, used to hold a ribbon in place across the front of the box and lid to prevent tampering from the light fingered.

Length 68cm. Width 52cm. Height 24cm

A real talking point and a great statement piece. In 25 years of dealing we don’t recall ever seeing another quite like it.
