Vintage Mobiloil double sided enamel sign
Scarce late 1920s early 1930s Mobiloil Gargoyle double sided enamel sign . Measures 46cm by 32cm.
Some age and use related damage to enamel as in photos but, unlike many genuinely old signs this example retains its peripheral shape intact and undevoured by rust. It has never been bent or folded and also there are no extraneous holes (either by drilling or rust) - with just the two original mounting, one at each side.
You will see that we have made no attempt to improve its looks by touching in the small areas of damaged enamel nor to remove the surface blemishes, notably on one side which has old blue paint adhering to it. This the purchaser has the choices to leave exactly as is - carefully clean off dirt and surface marking and paint - or the latter followed by touching in enamel losses. All items are covered by the Distance Selling Regulations which give buyers the right to cancel the purchase within seven days after receipt of the item for a full refund less RETURN transport costs
