A very fine and rare, 14CT Gold Waltham Hunter Cased Pocket Watch, complete with the original presentation case/box.
This watch is an excellent example, in superb condition and very good working order.
The fancy, decoratively engraved, heavy, 14 carat solid gold hunter case is in excellent condition. It is stamped with the case maker's name "Dubois W. C. Co" for the Dubois Watch Case Company and also stamped "14K U.S. Assay" for 14 carat solid gold. A fine example.
The Dubois Watch Case company, a maker of high grade watch cases was established in 1887. It specialised in the manufacture of expensive, highly ornate watch cases.
The white enamel dial is in excellent condition, it has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. It is signed by the maker "Waltham".
The good quality, high grade, 15 Jewels, Waltham movement is in excellent working order. It is signed by the maker "AWWCo, Waltham Mass" and has a lovely damaskeened finish. It has a micro-metric regulator. All signs of a very good watch.
The watch measures 48mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown). The weight is 92.9g
