This is a sturdy and fine quality English 17th century style extending 8 ft 3” solid oak dining table, ideal for use as a farmhouse refectory kitchen table, or dining table in a pub / restaurant, circa 1980, which seats up to 8-10 people, in excellent original condition.

Description:
This is a sturdy and fine quality English 17th century style extending 8 ft 3” solid oak dining table, ideal for use as a farmhouse refectory kitchen table, or dining table in a pub / restaurant, circa 1980, which seats up to 8-10 people, in excellent original condition. The oak kitchen table features three 1⅝” thick solid oak leaves, comprising two “D” end leaves, with a central removable leaf. The leaves are secured in place by blocks on the underside of the leaves which fasten the leaves together. The table top is sturdy and heavy, given the thickness of the oak leaves. Benefitting from a central stretcher, it allows you to conveniently place kitchen chairs under the table, without any restrictions, unlike earlier tables that have stretchers positioned on the outside of the legs, which prevents you placing the chairs under the table. It is also sufficiently tall enough to fit your legs underneath and is sufficiently wide to accommodate serving dishes in the centre of the table. The table has been constructed in the traditional manner with mortise and tenon joints, and then pegged, with a moulded and reeded frieze. The oak dining table is raised on baluster turned legs, on block feet, which are united by a “Y” shape stretcher either end, united by a central long stretcher, to ensure the table frame is sturdy.
The oak refectory kitchen table boasts a stunning rich oak colour, with a lovely grain configuration, having been wax-polished in our workshop. The table will seat up to 8-10 people, depending on the size of chair used.
The oak dining table has constructed to the highest standards is extremely sturdy and is of fine quality. The table-top dismantles into 3 sections, allowing the base to be moved separately, facilitating easier lifting and carrying into the house or through narrow doorways.

The oak dining table top boasts a fantastic rich oak colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. We offer free delivery to mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland (anywhere south of Stirling). We do not offer free delivery to locations north of Stirling in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or any British Islands off the mainland for example, the Isle of Man, Isle of White and Channel Islands. Delivery will be made by our specialised antique furniture delivery service, or in some cases we will use a courier service for distant deliveries.
Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
