A very early brass box with 4 square compartments and a circular centre compartment. The domed top lid has a tulip decoration in the centre and two flower stems, suggesting it is likely to be of Dutch origin.. There is a simple fastener at the front with a loop suitable for a lock, which would indicate it may have been a antique jewellery box, and it sits on primitive looped feet.
