1821 Pattern Light Cavalry Officers Pipeback Sword
A Fine 1821 Pattern British Light Cavalry Pipeback Officers Sword with Scabbard. In superb condition. Retailed by Henry Tatham (Gunmakers). Sharkskin wire bound grip in good condition with only slight wear, solid in the hilt, Very clean 32" slightly curved blade with fine etching of Crown, floral swags/foliage, crossed lances and "Tatham 37 Charring Cross" at the ricasso. This is possibly a Dress sword or made for an officer who preferred a shorter blade than the usual 34"making it very nimble i.n the hand
