18th century Dutch marquetry side table
Beautifully proportioned mid 18th century Dutch marquetry side table or writing table in Cuban mahogany.
Really is a super piece of antique furniture, stands very well and is very decorative. Certainly a piece to be admired! Wonderful rich colour to the Cuban mahogany and the contrasting marquetry gives a great effect. The marquetry being in sycamore and holly wood.
Good condition with some minor age related marks, none of any concern.
Measuring:
28 inches or 71 cm high
31 3/4 inches for 81 cm wide
18 inches 46 cm deep
22 inches 56 cm kneehole height Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
