This is a fabulous, most characterful hardwood trunk which dates from around 1860. The chest has iron strapwork and brackets giving it a great look and strong carrying handles to either side. It is raised on later bracket feet and inside the box has two useful lift flap compartments to sides. There is an old but secure split to the lid but generally this is in great condition. The chest measures 106 cms wide, 69 cms high and is 56 cms deep.
