19th Century Elm Dough Bin
This is a really nice 19th century Elm Dough Bin.
The lid lifts up to reveal two compartments inside where the bread mix was placed to "prove", usually overnight. The front flap opens downwards. The Dough Bin sits on its original undertier.
Dough Bins are really quite unusual. This one has been gently cleaned and waxed and would work well as a console or side table (even in a really contemporary setting), unless you are a domestic goddess and wish to use it for its original purpose!
Dimensions: 117 cm wide x 44 cm deep x 73 cm high.
