A lovely little trunk, this rarely available 19th century piece was used for travelling by carriage. It is a beautifully aged colour leather over wood, with iron fixtures for the lock hasp and side handles, metal edge bindings and nails. Inside, the piece is lined with a faded pink and blue flowered fabric. This is a great storage piece for any home it is not large and will fit comfortably into a small space, or stand on top of a sideboard or table. It has a flat lid which is hinged about a third of the way in from the back, so that things can be displayed or stored along the back edge without needing to take them off when opening.

Dating to circa 1800, this is made of wood and leather and originates from England.

In good age-related condition, the iron staple which would have been below the folding hasp for a padlock to be attached is missing, so that this piece cannot be locked. The other metal fixtures are all present.
