2 x George V Silver Napkin Rings, W.H Haseler 1930
This is a smart pair of George V Sterling Silver Napkin Rings. The rings are round with rolled rims at top and bottom. The bodies of the rings have scroll engraving to either side of the blank cartouches.
The napkin rings are made in Birmingham by William Hair Haseler and date to 1930. Haseler founded his company in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter in 1864 and they remained in business up until the Second World War. Haseler was one of Liberty & Co's preferred suppliers, particularly during the Art Nouveau era.
Condition is very good with no dings or dents and just the superficial surface wear that you would expect after over 90 years of use. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
Each napkin ring is 4.7cm / 1.8ins in diameter and stands 2.4cm / 0.94ins high. The pair together weigh in at a respectable 28.7g / 1oz of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks on both rings are well struck and clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter F for 1930 and the WHH makers' mark for William Hair Haseler.
Shipping in the UK is £6.50 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post.
