A Fine 18th Century Country Side Table.
A fine 18th century mahogany and fruitwood country side table, consisting of a single drawer and square legs with a chamfer inside the legs. Below the drawer is a shaped frieze with the sides being of plain form.
The plank top with a bullnose edge is made from mahogany as well as the central drawers, everything else is fruit wood apart from the rear legs which are made from chestnut. There are signs of some old wood worm holes and the back left leg has an old repair at the top. The plank top also has two ring marks , commensurate with age.
This is a lovely country table and has an excellent rich and warm patina.
