A good quality late 19th century French Petite desk made with exotic woods Amboyna , Purpleheart & Tulipwood crossbanding the large central Gilt Bronze Cherub mount acts as a secret drawer which is activated by pressing a button underneath the knee hole which pulls forward to act as a more sufficient writing area , the upper section has two central drawers flanked by up and over panels storage area , the desk has good Ormolu mounts through out and stands proudly on elegant swept legs finished with paw feet .
