Very large mid 20th century African tribal wooden statue of an Ibex/Goat, c1950.

This is a very impressive piece, beautifully hand carved and painted and very heavy for its size. It is also a rare piece, we have been collecting African antiques for more than 30 years and have not seen this subject matter before.

It is in good original condition with only a very minor historic repair to one horn/ear.
