Alerte and Badinance
by Auguste Moreau.

A beautiful pair of finely cast copper bronzes - possibly fire-side pieces or as a decorative centrepiece - gilt-bronze, bronze and marble, the figures are 29 cm high. Both signed and marked with a model / foundry stamp “LU/33”.

French, second half of 19th. cent. part-gilded on red marble bases cast from the original by Auguste Moreau, reference Berman Harold, Bronzes Sculptors & Founders 1800-1930, 2nd half of 19th century. Preferred method of payment is by bank transfer (UK faster payment or to our €Euro account) which incurs no additional costs or charges.
