Antique 8" Bisque-Head Armand Marseille Dream Baby
This lovely bisque-head doll dates from c.1910. She has A.M. Germany 341/2/0.K.' moulded into the back of her head. She has a bisque head with glass sleeping eyes, and a closed mouth. She has a jointed composition and papier mache body and bent composition limbs. She is wearing a nice vintage dress and vest.
Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age. She has some light grubbiness and scuffing to the paintwork of her head, including a scuff to her right-hand cheek. She has some paint loss to her eyelids. There is a small manufacturing flaw (air bubble) to the back of her head. Her body has some chipping and rubbing around the joints and there are some areas of paint loss. There is some minor chipping to her fingers and toes. We believe her to have been restrung at some point. Her dress is in good condition with some wear, grubbiness and discolouration. There is a small mark to her vest.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
20cm high. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
