A good and unusual 19th. Century "Boulle" desk stand, the red ground tortoiseshell inlaid throughout with brass and pewter. The top having a pen trough, turned brass carrying handle, a lidded compartment for stamps, paper clips etc. and 2 solid brass and pewter removable ink pots. To the front is a useful drawer with working lock and original key and the whole stands on cast brass winged lion's paw feet. In very good original condition. Size:- Height...5''/ 12.cm.
