This is an antique decorative lighthouse. An English, Cornish Serpentine marble ornament, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Charming lighthouse ornament with English coastal appeal
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Red serpentine marble native to south west Cornwall, the markings redolent of mottled snake skin
The base presented in the natural finish of the source material, from the Lizard, Britain's most southerly point
In the form of Wolf Rock lighthouse, located 9.2 miles (15km) from Land's End
The lighthouse was built in the 1860s and weighs some 3000 tones
