A most unusual late Victorian desk-top Inkwell or Inkstand with the base made from solid English Oak with an intricate carved frieze around the plinth.

Of course what makes this unusual and highly sought-after is the magnificent polished horn mount with silver plated fittings.

The two cut glass inkwells are both in undamaged condition with silver plated collars and hinged lids which open on the angle. In the centre is a silver plated shaped presentation mount which is vacant and unused.

Excellent condition dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890 the base footprint measures 10 1/2" x 7" x 6" tall the horn measuring 13" in length.
