Rare and beautiful mid 19th century French Tortoiseshell Prayer Book. Made circa 1860. Beautifully crafted tortoiseshell front and back covers with binding intact.

Inside I found an old four leaf clover which comes with the book.

There is a minor nibble on one corner but overall in very good condition with no cracks or losses to the tortoiseshell. Pages all complete. A rare find. Measures 9.5cm x 6.5cm.
