This is a beautiful Khamseh carpet from South West Persia which dates from the early 20th century. The carpet has a really lovely and unusual colour palette with soft blues, coral and cinnamon colours featuring in the design. It has a stepped lattice field with four hexagonal lozenges framed by spandrels and pretty multiple borders. It has some slight wear to the fringe at one end but is otherwise in good condition and measures a useful 186 cms by 145 cms.
