A fabulous and large figural inkwell in cast bronze with a magnificent original painted finish. The casting of this adorable Pug is intricate with details such as the collar and leash ring and not to forget, his wonderful curly tail.

The lid is hinged and opens to reveal a glass non-spill ink chamber within.

A highly collectible and very special inkwell in excellent condition dating to the late Victorian or Edwardian era, c.1890. The footprint measures 5" x 3" and stands 5" tall.
