Bloor Derby Bocage Figure Recumbent Stag
A large Derby porcelain figure of a recumbent stag lying on a grassy mound with unusual blue-green reeds rising around his belly. A large floral bocage stands at the rear. Decorated in bright enamels. Red painted mark to the base, c.1820.
It measures 19cm (7 1/2") high, 16.5cm (6 1/2") wide and 8.3cm (3 1/4") deep.
in very good condition: some fine restoration to the antlers and horns the porcelain seems predominantly ok underneath so this will be linked mainly to a repair/s rather than fabrication. The tip of the left ear and also to the tips of a few of the leaves on the outer edge of the bocage have also been excellently restored. A tight glaze line across his front left ankle. The enamels are good and bright. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
