Bloor Derby Porcelain Figure French Seasons Spring
Nice Bloor period Derby figure of Spring from the French Seasons, c.1830, originally modelled by Pierre Stephan but remodelled on round bases, c.1790 possibly by William Coffee. Bold and bright enamels of predominantly gold, yellow and mazarine blue with the usual finely detailed decoration to his clothing. He holds a small garland of flowers with a water bottle and a napsack over hid shoulders. Incised N123 to the base and painted Bloor mark.
It measures 17cm (6 3/4) high and 6.5cm (2 1/2") across the base. Condition is very good with a couple of points to note. He has had a very neat repair at his left wrist and some excellent, near invisible, restoration at his neck, please see the close up photo which shows these areas closely. A tiny area of the rim at the back of his hat has also been invisibly touched up. No damage or chips and very light surface wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
