Beautifully Handwritten onto Laid Watermarked Paper, Button Manufacturers Receipt of Josiah Gaunt & Sons of Leek, Staffordshire, addressed to Messrs Thomas & Co., of Hinckley,Leicestershire.
The Button Merchants of Leek formed an important part of Leeks economic development in the 18th Century and Josiah Gaunt & Sons produced ribbon, buttons, twist, ferret and sewing silks.
