A very fine early twentieth century silver plated Champagne bucket a beautiful shaped body with a scallopped rim and very stylish handles.

The underside is signed by the top-notch Parisian silversmith, Cailar & Bayard.

Cailar & Bayard, 37 rue Grange-aux-Belles, Paris, founded in 1848 by Noel Cailar and Pierre Bayard. The firm closed in 1934 and was taken over by the famous Maison Christofle.

Just back from our silversmith's workshop where it has been professionally cleaned and polished, restoring it to it's former glory.

Superb condition spanning 10 1/4" handle to handle x 7 3/4" and standing 7 3/4" tall.
