Mid 18th.c. carved oak coffer with unusual later over carving. Three panel lid opening to reveal useful storage inside, over a two panel front. Later carved with lunettes and guilloche pattern to the rails and mullions. Carved in naive fashion across the panels are various scenes culminating in a beheading (of Anne Boleyn perhaps). Oak panelled sides and rear, oak floorboards. Good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
