A charming oil on canvas painting of a group of Mallard ducks resting on the river bank. The quality of the work is very high and the ducks are captured perfectly in a variety of poses. The painting is not signed and was possibly made as an illustration which were often not signed, however the quality of the painting and the fact it is on a good Windsor and Newton canvas indicate that it is the work of a professional artist. The painting has been professionally cleaned and mounted in a vintage bur walnut frame. C.1930.
