A wonderful silver plated sauce or gravy boat designed by Christian Fjerdingstad (1891-1968), a Danish silversmith and design consultant for Christofle from 1924 to 1939.

The oval shaped bowl and swan neck shaped handle balance beautifully in the hand. The base of the bowl is marked "Christofle France" together with the chess mark with O and C either side for Orfevrerie Christofle.

The pieces come complete with their fabric protectors and sit in their original box, the set looks to be unused.

Dating to c.1930, a wonderful original example.

The sauce boat measures 8 1/2" x 4" x 2 1/4" tall the spoon measuring 8 1/4" in length.
