Cold War Era Bomb Tailfin Industrial Lamp Bomb lamp industrial lamp unique lamp %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A genuine piece of Cold War history converted into a stylish, industrial standard lamp.

We have had the original green drab paint removed exposing the metal and it's construction rivets. A light polish followed by a coat of satin lacquer will prevent tarnish and preserve the interesting patina of the steel.

Professionally wired with the added detail of corded flex and a bespoke lampshade made especially for this lamp has created a one off lighting piece.

This Mk4 tailfin dates to the 1950s/60s period and would have originally been part of a 1000lb bomb carried by the RAFs "V" force.....Victor, Valliant or Vulcan. During the long service of the Vulcan the only ordnance ever to be used in anger were these bombs, dropped to damaged the runway on the Falkland Islands. Incredibly the payload of the Vulcan was 21 bombs which could be released in 5 seconds!

A true one off light fitting.
