A rare early 19th Century mahogany architects twin pedestal desk, the three section top having a red leather writing surface decorated with gold tooling, the middle section having a lift up ratchet mechanism which serves as an architects reading / writing slope, the desk having a selection of five drawers with brass swan neck handles and a cupboard at the bottom of each pedestal opening to reveal a single deep drawer inside, supported on a nice plinth base. Circa 1820.
