Early 20th C. Ebony Dressing Table Pots & Buffer
This is a smart 3 piece set of Early 20th Century Ebony Dressing Table Pots and a Nail Buffer. The two pots have screw top lids, one with a hole in the centre whilst the buffer is oval shaped with a raised handle and a smooth flat base for attaching a chamois to.
The pots are stamped REAL EBONY on the undersides of the bases and the three pieces date to around 1900 to 1920. There is no indication of a maker.
Ebony items were very popular in the late 19th and early 20th century but since the fifties Ebony has become much scarcer and other materials have taken over.
Condition is very good with just the minimal wear that you would expect with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
Each pot stands 6.1cm / 2.4ins high and is 6.2cm / 2.44ins in diameter. The nail buffer is 11.9cm / 4.7ins x 4.1cm / 1.6ins and 4.1cm / 1.6ins high. The three pieces together weigh in at 276.4g / 9.7oz.
