Early Staffordshire Sponge Painted Prattware Cow creamer
This is a delightful Staffordshire cow creamer, with milkman, dating from, circa 1820. The creamer has typical green glaze thin base and the cow and its stopper are sponged in black and ochre. The little milkman is also green glazed. This was a very popular and much produced model in the early 19th Century but now very rare to find in good condition. This piece is in excellent condition, some crazing to the glaze but it appears to be intact and has no restoration. A very nice example.
The piece measures 16 cms wide by 14 cms high by 6 cms deep.
UK insured delivery is £20
