Edwardian Framed Pastel Portrait of a Fine Lady
Artist - Unsigned
Title - Untitled
Details - Pastel portrait of a fine lady. Not signed or titled, but looks to date from the early twentieth century. The portrait has been more recently mounted and is glazed and framed in an antique frame that has a thin layer of painted gesso covering a wooden frame.
Condition - Overall in fair-good condition. The pastel portrait retains good colours, but does have some scattered foxing (brown spotting) and some grubby marks. The mount is a little discoloured. The frame has some scuffing, grubbiness, wear and damage consistent with age. There is some shrinkage cracking to the corners and some chipping and loss to the gesso.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Visible Image Size - 34cm by 29.5cm
Frame - 62.5cm by 57cm, 2cm deep. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
