Here we have a very stylish Edwardian Silver Plated 3 Piece Strawberries & Cream Set from the start of the 20th century. The set consists of a bowl for the strawberries, a cream jug and a sugar bowl. All three have a pinched crinkle rim with flowing Art Nouveau style lines coming down from the indents.

The set is marked for Pleasance & Harper of Bristol. Pleasance & Harper was founded in 1879 in Bristol and quickly established a fine reputation as retail jewellers and silversmiths and also for their technological innovations. They expanded into other cities but sadly the original Bristol store was destroyed by bombing during World War Two. The company is now based in Hereford and remains under the management of the Harper family to this day.

Overall condition is good with no dings, dents or plate loss but there is a very small split in the rim of the strawberry bowl. However this doesn\'t detract from the attractive appearance of the set or its functionality. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The strawberry bowl is 19.6cm / 7.75ins in diameter and 4.8cm / 1.9ins high. The sugar bowl is 9.6cm / 3.8ins in diameter and 4.8cm / 1.9ins high. The cream jug is 13cm / 5.1ins from lip to handle, 8.9cm / 3.5ins acroos and 7.5cm / 3ins high to the top of the handle. The three piece set weighs in at 579g / 20.4oz.

The strawberry bowl is stamped Pleasance & Harper Bristol on the base and all three items have the product number 8452 on them, confirming that they are all from the same set.
