English Silver Tablespoons Garrard & Co. London
A VERY GOOD QUALITY, SET of SIX ENGLISH STERLING SILVER KING'S TABLESPOONS, GARRARD & Co., LONDON
A very good quality, Set of Six English Sterling Silver Tablespoons made in London by Garrard & Co.
The famous firm, Garrard & Co was established in London in 1735 and hold the Royal Warrant as suppliers to the British Royal Family, their relationship with the Royal Family stretching back to 1843 when Garrard was appointed the first official crown jeweller.
These spoons are superb quality, made from very heavy gauge silver, the total weight is a massive 657.0g.
They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "G&CoLD" for Garrard & Company (Regent Street, London), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "t" for 1974.
The spoons are in excellent condition with surface scratches consistent with minimal normal use.
They measure approximately 8 1/4" inches (205mm) in length. The total weight approximately 657.0g/23.16oz/21.12ozt.
A lovely set of English sterling silver spoons with an excellent pedigree.
NOTE: I also have another identical set of six spoons (4 spoons date letter t, two spoons date letter s) therefore a set of twelve spoons is available if desired.
