Extra Tall Table
Probably from the chemistry laboratory at the famous Arnold School. The school was founded in 1896 by Frank Truswell Pennington and was first established as South Shore Collegiate School. Famous Alumni from the list of Academics, Athletes and Business persons etc include Sir William Lyons - Co-founder of Jaguar Cars, Michael Smith - Nobel Prize Winner, Jimmy Armfield CBE - 43 caps for England football team and captained 15 times, Tom Graveney - 79 tests for English Cricket, John Pritchard - Current Bishop of Oxford, Geoffrey Thompson - Owner of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Jenna-Louis Coleman - Actor (Current Dr Who Companion, Emmerdale, Captain America).OOn some of the tables there are still traces of the youthful calligraphy/graffiti, hand carvings and stabbings, these have been mostly toned down and coated over. The legs and undercarriage are solid oak that has a limed finish whilst the top is solid teak (resembles mahogany) with beautiful graining and recently polished top. As you would expect from a school there are numerous marks under the finished surface but everything seems to add to it's beauty. Shown alongside a regular dining table you can see the difference in height. This could obviously be reduced to suit your requirements if that was necessary. The handles are simple swan neck replacements and suit the table perfectly.
Height - 85cm = 33 1/2 inches
Depth - 69cm = 27 1/4 inches
Width - 214cm = 84 1/4 inches
