Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques.
Here is an elegant French ladies bureau of excellent quality.
c1890-1900.
This highly decorated rosewood and marquetry bureau has an abundance of very pretty inlaid floral designs.
Having a cylinder front, opening to reveal a delightful fitted interior, with a highly decorated pull-out writing surface, with three drawers above.
Below are three marquetry fronted drawers, with original locks ,escutcheons and key.
Standing on cabriole legs with elaborate ormolu mounts and sabots.
In excellent antique condition, a couple of very minor, tiny nibbles to the veneers, which are pictured. Overall the desk is in superb, clean condition.
Very sturdy and strong.
The dimensions are.
Height-97cm. Height to top of writing surface-72.2cm.
Height to underside of desk-69.8cm.
Width-82.2cm.
Depth-52.5cm.
