A good Antique, 18th Century, George III, Sterling Silver Tray made by Robert Jones in London and dating from c1780.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "R.I" for Robert Jones, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the crowned Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "e" for 1780/81.
The tray is supported on three hoofed feet and has a George II coin to the centre.
The tray measures 7" inches (180mm) in diameter. The weight is 260.0g/9.17oz/8.35ozt.
It is in very good condition with only very light surface scratches.
