Georgian mahogany architects desk in the manner of Gillows.
This fine quality desk has a double hinged tooled leather top which when raised, sits on ratchet stands and allows it to be used in a variety of positions at either side of the desk, the large secretaire double drawer opens to an interior with a tooled leather writing slide above a drop well recess flanked by six rectangular lidded stationery boxes, each inlaid with letters of the alphabet, six further oak lined graduating drawers below with brass handles, the polished back with two dummy drawers and dummy cupboards below.
In good original condition with normal signs of wear and tear commensurate with age and use, this super quality desk must be seen to be fully appreciated.
