This is a Georgian silk embroidery picture dating from around 1830. The embroidery is of Persephone and an approaching lion in a forest glade. This has been finely executed and is in excellent condition. It is well presented in a substantial gilt frame and oval gilt mount.

The piece measures 47 cms by 40 cms overall including the frame.
