Handwritten Letter of 1840 relating to the Building of the Railway in Glasgow. The letter relates to various surveyors measurements, the cost of a bridge and the purchase of land from Lord Blantyre. The paper has a legal watermark, plus the letter was folded to form its own envelope and has 2 nice Glasgow postage frankings. Has slight tear where the seal has been opened.
