Holmegaard Gulvase by Otto Brauer 1960's
Classic Otto Brauer "Gulvase" or "Gulvvase"(Danish for floor vase) in a deep cobalt blue colour. Produced by Danish manufacturer Kastrup-Holmegaard in the 1960's. Otto Brauer was one of the leading Danish glass designers of the 20th century. It has a bulbous body, narrow neck and flared lip. Five sizes were made, this being the second tallest. In good condition, no damage, no chips or cracks. 48.5cmH x 20cmD
Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
