Horn & Silver Handled Magnifying Glass - 1898
A large example, measuring 10 3/4" in length with a glass diameter measuring 4".
The antler horn handle is finished with a solid or sterling silver terminal , highly decorative and hallmarked for Sheffield 1898. The silver is also lucky enough to have an English design registration number for the year 1892.
The ferrule too is sterling silver which attaches to the nickel framed glass which is of course new, making it a very usable piece, without damage, clear and with a good magnification.
A superb, grand and impressive desk accessory in excellent condition.
