Horn & Sterling Silver Handled Magnifying Glass
A large example, measuring 10" in length with a glass diameter measuring 4".
The antler horn handle is finished with a solid or sterling silver terminal, both sides embossed, both this and the sterling silver ferrule are hallmarked for Sheffield 1900/1901, making it late Victorian in era.
The nickel framed glass is of course new, unmarked but probably by Hilkinson, making it very usable piece, without damage, clear and with a good magnification.
A superb, grand and impressive desk accessory in excellent condition.
