Large French Art Deco Carved Oak Bed Frame
A lovely French Art Deco bed frame. We date this bed to the 1930s.
The bed comes in four sections, the head and footboards and the side rails.
The large headboard and footboard both have lovely Art Deco carvings.
The headboard has a height of 53" (135cm) and the footboard a height of 28.5" (72cm), both by 59" (150cm) wide and overall length 82.5” (210cm).
The bed will need a divan or slatted base made to support a mattress. The bed will support a mattress 78.5" (200cm) long by 59" (150cm) wide.
This lovely bed remains in very good solid condition with some minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some minor indents and wear to some edges and a small chip to the base of the foot end from past use.
This remains a very stylish and elegant bed which will continue to provide sweet repose for many years to come.
