For sale is a large Victorian walnut Dickens Desk. The desk is in very good original condition for its age, having never been restored, but well looked after. As can be expected, the desk has a few scuff marks on the corner of the base but this can be easily repaired and is not detrimental to the piece. The desk has a raised back and on either side has two pen drawers. Below this the top has its original brown leather insert with a rising fall in the centre. The fall when opened displays one satinwood drawer and numerous pigeon holes. This is ideal for storing papers and documents. The top has two short drawers and one dummy long drawer (due to the rising fall), underneath the centre drawer there is a shaped frieze. Below this the desk has two pedestals each with three drawers and all of their original handles. The desk is polished all the way around making it free standing, it stands on a plynth base. To accompany the desk is an early Victorian mahogany desk chair.
