A Large & Impressive Antique Union Jack Flag

c. early 20th century.

Panel Stitched in woollen/cotton material.

Dimensions -

V. approximately 170 x 82 cms.

Provenance -

This flag, along with the others I'm offering, are direct from the deceased estate of the Hon. Lord Peter Wynford Innes Rees QC (Scots Guards 1945 - 1948). He was son of Major General Thomas Wynford Rees (known as 'Dagger Rees'), Welsh Officer in the British Indian Army, awarded DSO and the Military Cross, Private Secretary to the Governor of Burma. In WW2 fighting in the East Africa Campaign, awarded Bar to his DSO and mentioned in Dispatches.

Condition -

Used. With some wear, discolouration and holes in places. We have many photos of this flag on file, where it has been photographed in sections and from both sides so you are able to zoom in and view the condition in detail.
